About Us
Born from a simple belief:comfort is care
Cause for Pause began with a single chunky knit blanket and a shelter dog who finally stopped shivering. Today we are building a Florida-wide movement of makers, donors, and volunteers wrapping every rescue in comfort.
Our Mission
To improve the comfort, health, and well-being of animals in need by collecting and distributing blankets, bedding, towels, and essential care supplies to animal shelters, rescue organizations, foster homes, and wildlife rehabilitation centers.
Our Vision
A community where every rescued and homeless animal has access to warmth, comfort, and compassionate care.
Our Story
Sometimes the best things happen when we pause
We are a founding team of animal lovers, crafters, and neighbors in Florida. As of September 2026 we are an officially recognized 501(c)(3) charity — every gift is tax-deductible — and we are already knitting, collecting, and delivering, because shelter animals can't wait to feel warm.
Founding board of three directors, with officer roles to be elected at our first annual meeting.
Organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
