Become a founding volunteer

Our goal: 25 volunteers in year one. Be one of them.

Questions? Answers.

Do I need to know how to knit?

Not at all. Chunky hand-knitting uses your arms instead of needles, and most volunteers finish their first blanket in a single two-hour class.

Can kids volunteer?

Yes — kids are welcome at Family Knit Days and sorting events with a guardian. Delivery volunteers must be 18+ or accompanied.

How much time does it take?

Completely flexible. Some volunteers knit one blanket a month from home; others join every sorting day. Every loop counts.
